Route Recording in shuttle mode

Hi, I tried shuttle mode up a local hill at the end of my morning ride today on my Levo and the ride only recorded the last .8 mile from that point. The previous miles were wiped out in mission control. All fine on my Garmin though. Anybody else seen this behaviour when using shuttle mode.
P.S. didn't need shuttle mode was just giving it a first try out, certainly eats the battery.
