Yes I have it on my E-Sommet with Guide RE's - hell of an upgrade to stopping power, but make sure your fork is rated to take that size disc as you can really notice the fork flexing under full power with them fitted, and I am running a Lyric Ultimate

You also need to be careful when fitting them, as the rotor is 2mm thick rather then 1.8mm, so make sure you spread the pistons right back before fitting the new pads and disc

223mm....That's a boss dimension. Must be for when running Turbo mode downhill. Yea, tell us your impressions. The 203mm RT76 with the entry Shimano four piston caliper is really quite good. I haven't tired the new SLX brakes. But I'm a fan of bigger rotors, especially if it eases the pressure on the lever squeeze to control braking.

First time I heard about 233mm rotors, which was recent. It was a enduro pro rider testing it on a manual bike. I have a Decoy with codes and most the emtb guys I ride with had codes and changed them out to hopes with rotors I actually quite like the codes, on my other manual bike i had Shimano Xt's 4 pot on front and 2 on the rear. I like that also.

If needed an upgrade on the brakes the front rotor would be to 233mm

Ok. I will. Big improvement??
Yup, once set up correctly you have to be careful until you are used to them as they are so much more powerful

How much more powerful than 203mm, if I can ask please.

Well that's a hard question to answer because it all depends on what brakes etc etc - all I would say is that you will notice more power in upping the disk size than you would in swapping out your brake system to another brand.

I've been looking at this upgrade for my Haibike. It has a 203/180mm Magura rotors with MT4 twin pot calipers and sintered pads. The back brake is excellent, wouldn't change that but the front is just a bit Meh!

Should I be looking for a bigger rotor or the MT5 4 pot caliper. Don't say both, cause the rotor is an easier replacement....and I can't afford both.

Strictly technically, if you are pulling the brake liver with the same force you will get 11,5% more braking torque with 223mm rotor compared to 200mm rotor.

Following with interest as the brakes on my 7 is the worst I ever had on a bike!
Problem is, I have always been a Hope brake man but I'm listening to any other recommendations.

One finger lock up ?
