Does a RS Super Deluxe Ultimate work well on the gen 3 ?
I used a air 2023 for 1 month on a turbo levo expert 2022 and work very well, I bought it because I had fox in assistance and I was favorably impressed, then I took an ohlins ttx22 m2 coil at a good price and sold it, I prefer coil shock and if I hadn't found the ttx22 on offer, I probably would have taken the super deluxe coil ultimate

I ordered from TFtuned and told them what bike it was going on, so hopefully they tuned it accordingly :)

I had my first ride with the Super Deluxe Air at the weekend. It’s the latest version. I have to say, it was brilliant.

I’m about 85kg kitted.
240psi
1 click from closed of LSC
5 from closed LSR
Middle position for HSC

My question is, do you know your shock tunes ... (rebound: regressive/linear/progressive, compression: low, med, high etc.) :)
(not clicks/external knobs settings)

I am also considering to upgrade 2020 Levo original airspring RockShox Deluxe Select w/ custom air valve, 52.5x210mm to something better. I would like to choose air-/coilspring so that also specialized original 0,6 water bottle still fits.

Is Super Deluxe Ultimate suitable option? Any other options that it is possible to keep water bottle?

Don't know for sure about RS SD, I have had 2019 Levo with DVO Topaz 210x55 installed. That setup worked with small bottle but 0.7 water bottle required moving bottle cage lower in the frame by using a simple mount.

Hi tune is….

L1LNL32
So I have the same. (without HBO)
Works well. with compression damping in a middle, I can use almost all travel on bigger landing to flat (maybe i'll add volume spacer). SAG set to ~29-30%

LSC in a middle
HSC 1 from open
180psi
my weight for a ride is around 77kg

i used all travel during some harder riding, but without harsh bottom outs.
next time i'll add one more HSC click (so it'll be in a middle i guess)

Mine works well too. I have the one with the HBO. I run LSC and HSC in the middle. Rebound 4 clicks from closed (84KG). I‘ll try five clicks next.

I’m running LSC fully open, HSC one click from open. Rebound on about 5 from closed. 240psi 95kg. I don’t have HBO.

Not yet using all travel. Need to look see if there are any tokens I can remove. I’m not a big jumper.

But it works great..

Original Gen 3 tuned shock:

Part number: 00.4118.358.064
AMRS SDLX ULT 210X55 0L3 PRLC 32SN C1LV
RS Super Deluxe Ultimate RC2T
210X55 Linear Air, 0Neg/3Pos Tokens, ProgressiveReb/LCComp
320lb Lockout, Standard NoBushing(8x20)
Serial number: 710845884191

Which is quite different from the Gen 2 shock:

Part number: 00.4118.358.063
AMRS SDLXULT210X52.50L3LNLCHB32SS9RXC1LV
RS Super Deluxe Ultimate RC2T
210X52.5 Linear Air, 0Neg/3Pos Tokens, LinearReb/LCComp
320lb Lockout, Hydraulic Bottom Out, Standard Standard(8x20)
Serial number: 710845884207

These are the latest Super Deluxe Ultimate shocks; this info was provided by SRAM support. You can use the part numbers to google pricelists.

Update: I added serial numbers, but for some reason, I can't find them on the trailhead app.

They have a different number of installed tokens. Also, I presume that LV in the middle one means "Low Volume". The newest Super Deluxe has two different air cans, so maybe the bottom one has the larger one.

Also, I'm unsure what is the difference (if any) between LCComp and LowComp. 🤷‍♂️

difference is LCComp vs Low Comp (L1)

both have 'linear air' - the same air can (which is the same with levo gen3 and the same Dave or me have with Long shock Link)

I asked from SRAM customer support about the differencies. They reply very quick.

00.4118.358.063 is a custom-tuned OE shock for 2020-2021 Specialized Levo. This shock features a slightly lighter compression tune than the stock aftermarket tune shock, which is 00.4118.358.090.

Personally, I would recommend going for 00.4118.358.090 as it will offer just a little bit more support during the shock's compression. There are quite a few folks running your generation of Levo in our Colorado HQ who greatly prefer the stock LNL tune. I feel that with the increased weight of an E-Bike, this will be the better choice for most riders!
