Hey guys, got a dent in my rear rim on the eOne-Sixty 700... It has Merida TR Expert 27.5 (Jalco 584x29c 6061-T6) rims. I tried researching, but I'm still confused about compatibility when swapping out rims. If I buy a new DT Swiss rim to rebuild the wheel. Do I have to change the spokes as well, or would they work with the new DT Swiss rim (e.g. HX 531 27.5" Hybrid Disc Rim)? If I need new spokes, how do I know the length/type (Shimano SLX hub12x148mm Boost rear)?

Tons of newbie questions... :D

Ive have a notion that the DT Swiss take a particular type of spoke..or is it the nut that is specific to their rim ? I believe its the nut...( see here- I have DT SWiss 27.5 for information Straightening a wheel.... - EMTB Forums)
I wouldnt assume you can use the spokes on that basis. DT Swiss are laced with three different length spokes too..I cant speak to the TR units you have currently.
All in all, Id seek some knowledgeable input from a tech to get your ducks in a row, before committing to anything...
