Hi,
I'm changing my rear brake on my Rail 7 to Magura MT5 from the original Shimano Deore 4 pot. Does anybody know what Magura adapter I would need? I'll be running a Magura 203mm Rotor.
Cheers,
Neil.

To answer my own question the frame is a 180mm Post Mount so the correct Magura adapter for a 203mm rotor is QM44.

Why can't you use the adapter that was used with the Shimano brakes, that should be a 203mm rotor also?

Yes that's what I was hoping to do but when I use the Shimano adapter with the Magura caliper the pads overhang the edge of rotor by quite a bit so the alignment isn't very good.

That sucks, looks like I'll be ordering the QM44 adapter then. I have a set of MT7's sitting in my garage that will be going on my Rail 9.7 when I get the time.

It's usable with the Shimano adapter, Shimano rotor and MT5 caliper but the top edge of the front set of brake pads sit around 1mm too high in relation to the top of the rotor so it isn't ideal. I'm hoping using the Magura adapter and Magura rotor will sort it.

I'm Running QM44 w/ MT7's and 203mm MDR-C rotors Front and Rear. I did order 220mm rotor and a QM45 adapter for the front. Rotor is here, adapter due in another week.
