Does anybody know how Orbea is able to get 150mm of rear travel in the Occam LT? Looking at the spec's the rear shock is the same as the Rise, 210 x 55. Do the upper pivot arms have different geometry? I reached out to Orbea awhile back and never received a reply back.

Because they have different leverage ratio's. Occam gets 140 travel out of 50mm Stroke rear shock for a lev ratio of 2.8 while the Rise gets 140mm of travel from 55mm off shock stroke which is a lev ratio of 2.54. With a lev ratio of 2.8, swapping shock on the occam from a 210x50 to a 210x55 gives the LT 150mm of rear travel. Since 210x55mm is the longest stroke available in that Shock length, people like myself who want more travel on our Rise's have used a longer 216x63.5mm rear shock to get 160mm rear travel

I checked the Occam Blue Paper and it looks like Orbea redesigned the linkage arm assembly to get the 150mm. The 2021 140mm rear travel Occam uses a three piece upper linkage arm assembly. The 2022 150mm rear travel Occam/Occam LT uses a two piece upper linkage arm assembly. Orbea states the two different linkage arm assemblies are not compatible with each other, i.e. you cannot use the 2022, two piece linkage arm design on a 2021 Occam frame.

It would be interesting to know if the two piece linkage arm design would work on the Rise and increase rear travel to 150mm. My guess is the Rise's frame is wider than the Occam at the upper pivot bearings and two piece axle/linkage arm assembly won't fit on the Rise without modification. Hopefully somebody with a 2022 Occam can take measurements on the two piece assembly to see if it might work.

Would it be possible to swap the Occum rocker arms over to the Rise? I have the Fox 36 with 160mm air shaft up front already and think 150mm rear travel would compliment that nicely.

The linkage doesn't add travel it gives clearance for the longer stroke 210x55mm shock..

Do you know what air shock I can use to get 150mm of rear travel on my XL rise?.
