Welcome, @oyzmo. First eMTB - good instinct going for the Rise platform. Orbea are a Basque co-operative with a solid reputation for build quality. Not flashy, not problematic. They've been making bikes since 1930 and eMTBs since the beginning of the segment. Durable? Yes. Removable battery? No - it's integrated, which is worth knowing upfront.

Now, the two bikes you're looking at are actually quite different animals, so let's be clear about what each is.

Option 1 - Rise Hydro (H30) is the alloy entry-level model with a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork, Shimano MT410 brakes (2-piston), and Maxxis rubber. Motor is the EP600 RS Gen2.

Option 2 - Rise SL Hydro is also aluminium but one level up - Fox 34 fork, slightly better brakes (still 2-piston MT201), Schwalbe Wicked Will tyres. Same EP600 RS Gen2 motor.

Both are in the "super light" trail category - 140mm of travel both front and rear.

Geometry is modern but agility-oriented: head angle around 65.5° and a steep seat tube angle around 78.3°. On a medium, reach is 465mm

- which at 177cm is exactly where you'd land and is a sensible fit. The EP600 RS Gen2 is a detuned, efficiency-tuned version of the full EP8/EP801 family.

Compared to the previous RS generation, the Gen 2 delivers power at lower cadences and unlocks the full 85Nm available. It's not a beast - it's a motor that rewards pedalling rather than replacing it. For agile trail riding, that's actually the point.
