A Spanish entry into the pedal-by-wire Motor Transmission Unit (MTU) / MGU space. Similar in concept to the Rivian/ALSO TM-B. Less power (105NM) but more compact. I much prefer having the TM-B approach of having pedal and output sprocket on separate spindles, allowing for a concentric high-pivot configuration more suitable for EMTB. The Niche uses concentric spindles to mimic a standard drivetrain. There's nothing about this motor that would preclude it from the EMTB space, but the company appears to also be targeting the micro mobility space. I'd be happy to see some EMTB "niche" brands take this motor on. I could see Avinox doing something like this in a heartbeat - they got the motor thing down.

Yup, saw that the other day. Seemed interesting but weird in that it extricated direct drive at the motor area to use second motor to replicate that ?!?! so didn't bother posting it.

Yeah, that's exactly what Rivian/ALSO did with their TM-B, which I just tested last week and the system indeed works. I guess you could call it Internal Pedal-by-Wire. I noticed that commenters on road.cc just couldn't get their minds around it, since most PBW systems have the motor drive at the rear axle. I actually think it's good alternative mid-drive Hybrid/ECVT systems like E2 Owuru motor, but I'd be happy with either compared to the gearbox-based systems in circulation now.
