Hello All
Just got my 2021 140 hybrid race. Can anyone tell me where the serial number is. Also the enclosed picture is there meant to be a gap at the bottom of the battery cover, looks wrong to me, as water, dirt can get in there, but want to check before I have a word with bike shop.
Thanks in advance

Hello mate - hope you are enjoying your cube? ?

cover should be flush to make a decent ish seal

serial number should be stamped into the frame above the cover at the rear just behind the rear tyre (under the QR code if you have one)

Hope this helps ?

Thanks KeithO, on further inspection it appears the top catch on the bike, that the cover goes into can be moved up and down, must be to give it some leeway. I had a go at undoing it as its held on via a nut but won't budge easy, didn't want to try to hard. Anybody know if its a anticlockwise or clockwise to undo the nut. Not sure what is on other end as this sits behind plastic stalk the nut sit on.

Hello there.
I have a cube stereo 140 also a 2020 model and it seems to me that the motor cover or bash guard on yours has dropped causing the gap.
So slacken the 2 allen key bolts in your photo push the cover guard back up and retighten.
Hope this helps from Tony.

Wonder if you could do me a favour. I started another thread about a cable under the motor cover on my 2021 cube. Thought it was wrongly positioned. Could you flip your bike over and see if you can see a cable similar to in this photo?

Ok thanks, no rush. If you can find the thread that I posted, you will see what I am on about. Think the thread was titled ‘is this right?’
Had a look at the bottom of my hybrid stereo 140 tm 2020 and i dont have any gaps in the motor guard so unable to see any cables without taking covers off.

@Steve33 When you come to adjust the cover, put a washer as big as you can get in under the bolt head.
It stops the bolt pulling through the plastic. As you can see, they come from the factory without and quite a few (including mine) come overtightened and already starting to pull through.
I hadn't got any so cannibalised a couple of old alloy chainring bolts into suitable washers.

@billwarwick On the cable issue, the cover of my 160 doesn't have holes like yours, but I didn't see any cable wrapped around like you posted

@billwarwick The 120 does have a different cover to the 140/160 so there is probably nothing missing.
I think it due to the slightly different frame layout.
couple of pics here (hopefully) Top is the 2021 140, bottom is the 2021 120

Well spotted Mr P. There’s quite a difference between the two bikes. I had assumed they would be the same underneath. ?

Thanks everyone, after checking with lbs adjusted cover via 2 bolts and now sits flush. Also found serial number and took picture, although not the easiest place to get a good picture.
