It looks like my speculation was wrong or the timing was at least. I'm still seeing Trek TQ bikes becoming available again in August, so either this is just a spec update for new model year components (shocks etc) or there is still the possibility that TQ will announce something in July - deciding to avoid Eurobike as they might have been aware of potential Avinox announcement.
Just speculation.
In a way, I am kind of glad now if it doesn't happen until next year as I decided not to wait and purchased two HPR60 bikes this year. I'm enjoying them and like that they won't be immediately obsoleted.
