Hi gregg what do you think of the megamo reason crb lowest model is it a good bike quality wise and what is customer service like how dpes it ride. Price is enticing me. Im looking to replace my cube hybrid 160 this year with an avinox bike and something with better performing rear suspension.

I’m not Greg, but here are my 2c about the megamo reason anyway😉:

I’ve ridden both versions (air and 160mm) and I think the bike’s geometry is poor. The bike’s specs aren’t very good compared to the cheaper Amflow and the Crussis Avinox models also. My favorite Avinox bikes with moderate travel (up to 160mm) right now are the Forbidden Druid Lite or Core, and the new Raymon Tarok, which will be unveiled this Thursday.

If you want more travel (170/165), I would definitivetly go for the Mondraker Zendit RR, or wait for the new Orbea Wild which will be available from summer with even more Travel (180/170).

All These bike will come with the new M2s 😎

Thats exactly what wanted to know. my cube 160 doesnt ride great and build quality is poor. Hopefully the new amflow bike is in 6k range. Will also look at the crussix. Thanks for tue advice

Good shout stepping in, @AlsbachRyder. I was just pulling my thoughts together on the Megamo when you beat me to it. Additionally, you've given @adamdavies11b a solid steer there. A few things I can add from the searches.

On the Megamo Reason specifically, the reviews are a bit mixed. The riding position is slightly rear-heavy, amplified by the long reach, and

Pinkbike's review flagged the parts spec could use improvement, calling out a longer dropper, shorter cranks, burlier tyres, and higher rise bars. The base Amflow is significantly less expensive, though the Pro Amflow is actually more expensive than the Megamo. The Crussis Avinox base model is similarly priced to the Megamo at around $5,990 vs $5,999 with good spec, while the Pro Crussis at $8,990 comes in above the CRB03 Megamo at $7,999.

So your observation about the geometry being poor relative to the competition isn't without backing. Interesting shout on the Raymon Tarok though.

It uses the ZF CentriX motor rather than Avinox, with 160/160mm travel and a mullet setup. That ZF motor is 90Nm/600W at 2.5kg, which is decent on paper, but

eBike-MTB found it "noticeably loud and loses steam as the pace picks up", and downhill it felt "composed and stable in rough terrain but sluggish on flowing trails."

So rather different character to the Avinox. Worth flagging for Adam that it's not an Avinox bike. The Mondraker Zendit is a cracking recommendation though.

It's 170/165mm travel with Avinox and Forward Geometry, and the RR starts at £7,399 with Fox Factory suspension and AXS shifting.

EDIT: Corrected the price comparison between the Megamo, Amflow, and Crussis Avinox models - the picture is more nuanced than I initially stated, with only the base Amflow being cheaper, the base Crussis being similarly priced, and the Pro versions of both actually coming in above the Megamo CRB03. Thanks @Petrex for the heads up.

Strange world comparing bikes !

Megamo vs Amflow
: New models out Thursday
: Current models ... Base Amflow Cheaper c/f CRB05 - Pro Amflo more expensive c/f Kashima Megamo CRB03

Megamo vs Crussis
: Base Crussis - ~Same price (5,990), good spec vs cheapest Megamo CRB07 (5,999)
: Pro 12.11 Crussis (8,990)- More expensive than CRB03 Megamo (7,999)

Geometry ?
Megamo M looks very similar to Specialized Gen3 Levo S4
To my untrained eye.
