No bigger than 36 T recommended in manual .
Be aware a 36 T will be lower than the lowest point of your bottom bracket and can hit obstacles as you pass over them .
A bit disconcerting to hear and feel your chain and chain ring grind over rocks and logs .

I have a 36t on now. I actually am converting it to a souped up gravel bike. I am spinning out on the road. I am not going to be grinding over logs or rocks. My off road rides are lighter trail riding. It looks like I could squeeze a 38t on it. Wondering if anyone has done so.
