Is hiding the EN100 box inside handlebars feasible?

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has tried hiding the EN 100 box inside handlebars and if the Bluetooth signal is okay?
I use an app on the watch for mode and battery level, so don’t really need the EN100 on show.
I’d be using a Santa Cruz di2 bar which has holes to run internal cablin.
cheers.

Sounds feasable depend on the wall thickness of the bar but if it does fit inside your bars you'll probably have to come up with a way to stop it rattling around inside.
Hiding it inside your stem like many Di2 set-ups may also be an option (depending on your stem)
but if you're not using a controller or wired display at all couldn't you just hide the junction box in the frame clipped onto an internal cable?

I have no display but use the E7000 controller switch. Personally I find the EW EN100's coloured LED quite handy while riding to glance at and check what mode the bike is in. I have mine clipped to my gear cable just after it exits the frame so my bars obscure it and the LED doesn't distract me but I'm able to glance at it with just a slight dip of the head.

Hi Gary,

Your reply is one of those when I wonder why I didn’t think of either of those options, cheers!

I've got mine on the right side and looks pretty clean in my opinion. I could move it closer to the frame if I want. I've got better looking cable wraps on the way, these are a tad bit too large.

I ride in boost 99% of the time on my Orbea Rise so I've removed the thumb switch. I hide as much of the length of cable from the EW-EN100 in the headtube, as soon as it comes out of the frame I clipped it to the brake hose and covered the open end meant to connect the switch with tape.

Anyone else done this?

I forgot I wrote this thread, there is another thread where I show what I did with the controller, but here are a couple of pics.
Santa Cruz DI2 bars, pre drilled holes, one near the stem and another under the grip that has a channel moulded into the bars under the grip.
Controller is in the end of the bars, it’s a snug fit so doesn’t rattle around.
