Depends where you're posting. New members go through a moderation queue first, which exists entirely to keep the spambots at bay. Once you've got a few approved posts under your belt, future ones tend to go live immediately.

If yours is sitting in limbo, it's just waiting for a mod to eyeball it. Usually a matter of hours, sometimes quicker if they're about. Nothing to worry about on your end.
