That is correct but the 2018 Comp comes with SRAM GX driveline and a Shimano type cassette, I have one myself.

Which includes an OEM Shimano free hub, not XD. I had presumed XD when I bought mine since I planned to use a Roval Traverse SL ID 30 Mm carbon 29" wheelset and found I could not use it with the Shimano cassette. Had to put the Shimano free hub back on and now have a useless XD free hub sitting in my toolchest. You are forewarned. By the way 29 inch wheels significantly reduced pedal strikes and was a real improvement.

Just count the smaller cog on the cassette, if 11 teeth it is Shimano, if 10 then you have XD. Hope this helps.
