Had this bike for a week now. I got the large one from Bikester online. It arrived on the 8th day in a big box. All seems fine but lacks a bit of power and realised there was a mode missing. It goes eco, normal then sport but no power mode. My video leaving house and going 6 kms in Spanish countryside According to Giants own website it should have a power mode. Ive emailed Bikester but they don't directly answer saying if the software is manipulated its out of guarantee. Why they do this, I don't know
I've contacted Giants nearest dealer in Alicante and they say I have to bring it to them and they will update software of course this is chargeable. I even sent them a screen shot of this.
The saddle is too hard, will change it for a silicon one, no other problems its a handsome bike it cost 1799 euros.
Any one else had this?

I have 2018 Giant SX 1. You should have 5 modes.
Eco Basic Active Sport and Power.

The firmware upgrade should be free. I got mine upgraded last week free of charge. Takes 10 minutes.

GIANT should not be going down the Specialised route and charging for firmware.

Is it possible for me to update it? Plug in somewhere...
Not that I know off. The dealer connects to bike via bluetooth. He had dealer software on his pc. If you use your phone beside the bike and scan your bluetooth you will pick up signal but you can't connect.

Maybe some will bring out an app like Blevo.

I would suggest getting back on the Bikester and pointing out that the bike was supplied with incorrect software and as such you will be rejecting it as faulty unless they rectify immediately. If this means paying your LBS to do it and Bikester picking up the tab, that's their problem, not yours.
