Fuel EXe Fuel EXe - transporting on its side damage?

Got an error ERR 049E DRV SENS TORQUESENSOR which won’t clear by reset. Local Trek shop have raised a warranty claim on TQ for a new motor.
The bike was fine when I loaded it in the car for a 30 minute journey, but failed as soon as I enabled Eco assist when I started riding.
just wondering if there‘s any experience of causing motor damage by laying the bike down on it’s side in the car with it’s weight mostly on the non-drive pedal.
A similar thing happened earlier this year after driving a couple of hours to a meet. I can’t recall the error code, but the motor started getting quite noisy under high load after. Resulted in a warranty motor replacement (and battery and control panel).

Nope, never had an issue with it in the car on its side. I do make 100% sure it is turned off though before loading

Same, I load it without the front tire, flat, in the bed of my truck, no problems.

Transporting an eMTB on its side with the front wheel removed should not be a problem. I wonder if the controller button was accidentally depressed during transport.

Another concern would be the front brake. A calliper spacer should be used incase the lever is accidentally depressed during transport. The calliper piston (s) could extend out or fall out.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I do of course turn it off and space the brake caliper. Just wondering if it could be a design oversight as I‘m a tad nervous about it happening again after the warranty runs out.

Mine has been going into the back of my pickup truck on its side for the last 1.5 years, and I haven't had a problem.

Same as others, done this plenty of times and never had a problem.
