I got out for my weekly sanity ride on friday and a mile into my ride my freehub body would spin both directions. After a walk back to the car and drive home I started investigating The XD driver was more difficult to remove than it should have been and discovered all 3 pawl had a rounded leading edge. In 1200 miles I've killed all 3 pawls. I'm a bit surprised that a stock hub on an e-bike was this short lived.
Once I finally got the driver off by walking it up the axle with a small prybar it didn't want to easily go back on either. Something was gettig hung up on the axle. I happed to have a second driver for this hub because of a previous warranty. The old driver slid right into place as it should and works fine. I managed to go back out and get a sanity ride afterall.
Has anyone else had this issue? Could the the removal issues be related to the pawls failing?
