XC MTB Trails @ Pen-y-ghent & Malham Moor - 25 Miles of XC EMTB Heaven.
A real XC (Cross Country) mtb ride this, if there ever was a ride that encompasses that term, 'Cross Country' then this ride ticks all the xc mtb boxes. 25 miles, of climbs, fast grassy ups and downs, rocks, and single track downhills, open Valleys, and Moors with beautiful awe-inspiring views. Gentle slopes and calm roads through quaint villages and passing by local pubs, riding through farmland and across the tops.
This ride has it all. For new xc mtb riders who want a real challenge, this has it all, ride at your own pace but appreciate there are some steep climbs, and fast descents here, ride to your own ability. Plenty for us nutters who want to really go for it, there are a few gates in some places. For experienced and fit mtb xc riders, go for it.. the downhills will put a smile on your face, the last 4-mile slog will really test your metal.
If riding fast general pads are recommended, nothing too gnarly on this ride, it's more fast gravel and stones, watch out for washouts on dh's and farm vehicles on blind corners both off and on-road.
