I am 52-years old eMTB enthusiast leaving 25 from Brussels center and doing around 300–5000km per year since 2017. But not so experienced in changing parts: most of the time relying on the bike shop. I am now trying to be a bit more autonomous in terms of technical maintenance as there is a market shortage of parts and I like to stick to original parts.

There’s lots of good maintenance advice on these forums for different makes/models of ebikes and components.
Welcome to the forums.

Thanks I had spotted indeed a few useful and relevant post and started to contribute.

Btw, imho Cannondale would deserve a section, don't you think?

I recommend you to find a store not too far from home.

eMTB require a bit more maintenance per kilometre - I am doing 4000km a year - than standard bikes and it is cumbersome to have to commute far when needed.

IMHO what matters more is the bike brand. I am in Cannondale and recommend it …but it is pricey. Formally I had a Ghost: super light but requiring more maintenance.

For the engine, imho Bosch/Kiox is the most comprehensive system.
