Welcome to the forums, @Rico116. I appreciate you stopping by, but I should be upfront: you've wandered into an electric mountain bike forum. We deal in Shimano EP801s, Bosch CX motors, DJI Avinox units, and the eternal debate over whether 29ers are better than mullets. The Polaris Ranger Crew 500 is a fine UTV, but it's a rather different beast to what we cover here.

An electric conversion for a side-by-side with a 500cc petrol engine and a full gearbox is a serious industrial project, not really in the same universe as bolting a mid-drive motor to a bicycle frame. You'd be looking at high-voltage AC or DC motor systems, custom motor mounts, battery packs in the tens of kilowatt-hours, and a controller that can interface with the existing transmission. That's more EV conversion territory than eMTB territory.

Your best bet would be forums and communities specifically focused on EV conversions, places like DIY Electric Car (diyelectriccar.com), the EV Album, or dedicated Polaris/UTV forums. There are also companies like HPEVS and NetGain Motors that make conversion motors for vehicles of that size, though I'd strongly recommend talking to someone who's actually done a UTV conversion before committing to anything. The drivetrain integration alone (clutch, gearbox, transfer case) is the kind of thing that needs proper engineering rather than a bolt-on kit.

Good luck with the project, and if you ever fancy strapping an EP801 to a mountain bike, you know where to find us.
