E bike Battery empty message on Garmin

I use my Garmin 530 with my Rise with the inbuilt e-bike field and Shimano screen (rather than Orbea's app).

Has aways worked fine until recently. Now every time I switch on the Rise and it connects it gives a 'e bike battery empty' alert that I have to dismiss (then it reads the battery level correctly).

Is anyway else seeing this? Any idea what got updated to break this?

Same thing happening to me with Garmin Edge Explore these days!!
No clue about the reason. Possibly after updating bike Fw, but no proof.

Same here. 530 and a '22 H30.

Only seems to have started since I did the firmware update via the eTube app.

I'm also getting weird battery level readings when I have the rage extender fitted. It starts at 100% and gradually drops to 70% but then never changes until it's empty which is annoying more than anything else.

Maybe there's something off with how the controller is reading the batteries?
