Answered Cassette broken teeth?

I thought a few teeth on my largest sprocket looked broken(Shimano SLX CS-M7000, 11-46T)
However when I googled a picture of a brand new cassette there appeared to damaged ones here too.
Why do a few teeth look so different (much shorter) to the others on the largest sprocket?

to aid shifting performance between each sprocket. if you look closely you'll see ramps and shorter or angled teeth on all the larger sprockets.

This is what broken (and worn) teeth look like. Just in case, the new one is at the back!
