I was under the impression that the Meg-Neg isn't compatible with the 2021 9.8xt super deluxe thrushaft rear shock.

I'm assuming your talking about a 2021 rail 9.8? Your title isn't very clear could read it 2 ways.

The picture above isn't a 2021 9.8 or the thrushaft shock it comes with.but it confirms compatibility with standard super deluxe on alloy frame.

From Rockshox MEG NEG instructions:

Compatibility
NOTICE
The MegNeg air can is compatible with model year 2017 - 2021 RockShox® Deluxe™ and Super Deluxe™ shocks with a stroke between 47.5-75 mm.
The MegNeg air can is not compatible with Super Deluxe ThruShaft rear shocks (RS-SDLX-THRU-C1). The stroke size is printed on the bottom of the
damper

And yes, I thought it was too progressive for my riding style. Could not bottom shock I think treks linkage is very progressive already, add Meg neg it was too much for me , even with all 4 negative bands

Gotcha, actually Treks are very linear. I doubt it would fit on a large. I’ll ask trek when I get a chance.
