Hi everyone. Bought a bike work stand but struggling to attach the bike because of the placement of the rear shock. Avoiding clamping the dropper... Any ideas?

I have a Park Tool PCS 10 stand and take the battery off and clamp the top tube further along form the shock.
I had it in there yesterday swapping the Lyrik damper and rotated it 180 degrees at various stages.
The first time I did it it was dusty and marked the paint but I put some heli tape on after.

Thanks for the thoughts all...

So I bought this...
And I ended up just clamping the seat tube and fixed tube of the dropper...seemed to be OK in the end.

Tried that, but the angle of the bike and resulting weight / leverage is enough to pop open my (cheap) work stand clamp!

Return that stand and invest in a proper one.. cheap stands are not worth the headache.. needs to be stout and stable especially for an ebike.

You can happily clamp on the dropper; as per King Calvin uou will be applying way less torque than your seatpost clamp...
