My Merida stopped starting, maybe there is a problem with the battery. My bike was continuously charged for 3-4 days in a garage at -10 degrees. I came home and tried to charge it, but it stopped charging. After several attempts, the charging indicator came on and charging started. But the power button does not respond and does not turn on my motorcycle. What could be the problem?

The small battery in the on/off button is discharged or dead. Your main battery didn't charge because it's to cold and the thermal sensor kicked in. You must be on the insane side of crazy to leave it charging for 3-4 days! Bring the bike or the main battery inside for a few hours before charging or heat the garage/shed to a least 10C. Trying to charge a battery at -10 C is user error/ incompetence.

It won't charge anymore because it is already fully charged! And that would be at temperatures in the designated charging range. I have no idea what damage you may have done charging for so long at that temperature.

You could try this.
(Warning: I have never done this, only read about it, so anyone else correct me if I'm wrong).
On your down tube there are a couple of screw heads and further down towards the shock there is a rubber bung. Prise that bung off and look in. You should see a power on button that is located on the battery. Use a thin screwdriver and press through the bung hole to switch on the battery. All should then be well. (Unless you have damaged the battery).

For your peace of mind, I would recommend that you remove the battery first and check the location of the power-on button on the battery is indeed where it should be. I was about to do all this myself when my Merida refused to switch on yesterday, but a 30 mins charge corrected my problem - that of the display not lighting up and power not coming on.
