My first DIY bike, too heavy, too little range and far too much power.
But ideal for pulling the dog trailer ?

The M620 is the biggest one of the Bafang family, and with almost 7 kg actually much too heavy

But I love the programming options that you have with the Eggrider V2 Display and the smartphone

Nice!
So did you take the Bosch motor out of the Cube, and weld brackets onto the Bafang to make it fit? How did you know what the fitments needed to be? Just waited till the parts came in and measured?

I had bought the cube frame from SchlierseerBikeparts | Fahrradrahmen | Hausham , held the motor in position, made a stencil out of cardboard and then cut out with the plasma cutter from a 3mm thick stainless steel plate. Then fine-tuned with milling cutter and flex until it fits.

Nice build but I'm curious as to your programming.
The M620 motor requires atleast a 48v 15amp battery to function but I'm of the belief you're running a 36v. Under heavy load, doesn't the motor cut out?

Thats awesome. I think there's a market for something like this, always have. Im sure lots of shimano oaners would love to have a back up option and just swap in a quick bafang motor and battery. Someone needs to do this. So many bikes out there now

Nice build! Whats cube frame is that? Did you cut anything from frame? I was wondering could you post pictures from both sides of the plates with ruler so i could make 3D-model from it and share it here with others too :)

The frame is from a Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 model year '20. It's made of aluminum and I had to cut some away to make the engine fit well. If I remove the engine for maintenance work in winter, I can take a few photos of the brackets.

Yeah thanks, i also have cube stereo 140 race but its carbon. And then i have bafang m620, its the same motor with your Luna?
Maybe i will make guide DIY with Carbon frame and because i dont have laser cutter i must buy the parts from 3d laser printing service. Thanks from your reply and pictures i maybe can get the right measures from the motor parts, but it would be great if i cant and you maintenance.
We already have winter at Finland and i wont get my rear shock before next month but i have spike wheels to drive safe ;)

I just put an order in for a Luna Zed1 and am going to have to do some research on that eggrider V2 display and app!

I agree the motor is a beast and was aiming for the X2 M600 version but it sold out in like a day.....oh well

Have you considered any other bosch generations? I have Bosch Performance CX (4th gen) frame from Scott and it`s definitely too small for ultra.

If I had a frame for the CX 4 then i would build it too. It certainly has enough power for almost all situations and weighs less than half of the Ultra
