IOT+ / IOT- pins are new.

And they certainly changed a few other things, like moving components and adding filtering capacitors for voltage stablization. (left is M560 january, right is M560 before that)

And obviously they corrected the naming:

I have no knowledge about these electronics. What do you think they tried to achieve or have succeeded with these changes?

Greenbikekit is advertising new 2024 silent 750w motor.
There is nothing more than words... silent version, improved version... but noone has confirmed this.
I would like to remind that version from January 2024 was supposed to be quiet.

I am affraid will be silent only with nylon gear. They can do M600 silent (even more then M510), so where is problem. I would say 22A that nylon could handle.

But is funny how they stating it is silent, and actually is not.

We agreed here few days ago that it is only marketing for now... and I agree with you that there is no chance to make this engine silent without changing material of the gear.
I think that Bafang sees no other option than to claim that they have done something to improve problem with noise... but this is road to nowhere.

ahhh I gotcha. I have seen videos of the M560 sounding pretty mild and of them really loud. I'm nervous. My first ebike and I dont want to be that guy on the trail everyone can hear.
If mine is loud I will just order a 510 for the time until a new gear is made. I also read it gets quieter over time.

I think the 500w version is silent because it has nylon gear? 750w is louder (steel gear) but not terrible imo. And yes I have also heard that it get less noisy over time.

The difference between 500w and 750w version is 10Nm only? Not sure if the rpm is the same. 500w has 120Nm and 750w 130Nm.

In the vid I received it's about the same or little but more noise than bbshd.

Where did you find so optimistic way of thinking that bafang will produce silent gears... Wow!
I think that they do not know how to achieve it :)

500W has metal gears, not nylon.

Rode a new M560 at Sea Otter Classic event this weekend (not sure 500W or 750W) from the Bafang booth and it was just a little louder than an M600 with nylon gear but wasn't too annoying for my ear. Bafang unfortunately doesn't do quieter helical cut gears but the angle cut gears if greased well may be ok.

It is interesting from what batch was this motor.

How did the motor feel to ride? Where you able to test it on some hills or just flat ground?
