Has anyone used a center lock rotor or center lock adapter with the Avinox speed ring?

Is so I’m interested in knowing your combo of parts.

From my investigations you can just hold the standard speed sensor in place via the centerlock nut/ring. I think the Megamo Reason does this, I’ll try to fit the picture.

My issue is that I have 6 bolt rotors so I will be using a center lock adapter.

I’m guessing it will be fine. But I just want to see what solutions others have.

Anyone else running center lock with Avinox, preferably with a center lock adapter?

running center lock hubs too

Do you have a lot of miles on that setup? Ever loosen during a ride?

I measured the thread depth on a shimano lockring to be 4.25 mm. The Avinox speed ring is 1.15 mm thick. So you lose about 30% of the thread engagement with that setup. You also lose the ridged surface/shim washer/ridged surface mating profile which helps prevent the lockring from backing out.

I'm thinking about running this setup too, but I'm worried it will loosen during a ride. It'd be nice if a lockring company made one for this application that has a 1.1 mm step with a diameter that centers the speed ring and then still has the full 4.25 mm of thread engagement. It wouldn't have the same mating profile, but I think the extra threads would help secure it.

I ended up using the shimano adapter. I am probably going to order longer rotor bolts though. They don’t get a whole lot of engagement on the threads.
