Welcome and well done for taking the plunge... I'm 51yrs young, ex rugby player (of 34yrs) with athritic hips and wrecked knees... I was in the same position -> test rode an ebike and actually enjoyed it rather than wondering how I was going to get home :)
Already started to drop some weight and each ride is becoming easier

Thanks for the message and glad to hear you are finding your ebike fun and enjoyable, the main benefit for me is being able to do some form of exercise that does not make things worse (suffer from lower back pain when i walk 30+ meters) I do not have any back pain when i am cycling and when i am really worn out i can use turbo mode to get home lol.
