I bought a 180-220 for my rail 7 2020 though the original discs were 203mm.
I can't remember why but there must have been some maths involved.

I have noticed a lot more ting ting noises since swapping to bigger rotors

Fitted 220mm front and rear on mine. Used a magura qm45 adapter mount on the rear of mine. 15quid of eBay.Made one hell of a difference. Using hope disc. I already had a 220mm disc up front so unsure what mount it was to gain the right positining.

Magura caliper adaptor part numbers for 220mm rotor install on Rail frame with Zeb fork:
• QM 45 rear
• QM 40 front

Trek states 203mm is MAX for the Rail frame.

I have 220 on the front of mine as standard and 200 on the back, I have spoken with the shop I purchased the bike from and they have stated there is no problem going 220 on the rear as I am currently changing to MT7's and MDR-P rotors220 front and back,
