So if you're anything like me, you might find the rear axle on the Orbea Wild a bit annoying. Where its only keyed for an hex wrench on the driver's side and find this generally annoying.

I decided to look into axle replacements and found a company called Burgtec. After doing some research, it looked like their rear axle replacement for the Pivots was the same size.

Received it today and works perfectly. So for any of you who are also bugged by Orbea's rear axle design or just want a spare, hope this helps.

Brilliant looking for this EXACT information 👌🏼

Is that “deep purple”? Looking to match as close to Hope purple as possible

Thanks again for this solid info!

Well they only have one purple. Haven't done the hope cranks yet but they seem pretty close digitally anyway

Hi batmantis,

I am not fully understanding the burgtec axis vs the orbea one, probably because I am not native English speaking.
Can you explain again which are the changes and benefits?

In my case, I am looking for a solution to a never ending chain of problems when the rear axle loosens regularly, and when this happens the rear derailleur and the chain get the heat. It has already spoiled two rides, and I have been to the bike shop more times in these 8 months, than with all the bikes I have owned combined.

Thanks !
