Hi everyone, newbie questions I'm sure, but hey, I'm a newbie to EMTBs. (but not new to MTBs - ridden for over 20 years, had a previous Instinct, Altitude and Thunderbolt and a few other MTBs)

I now have a 2021 Instinct Powerplay:
1. Where do I find the serial number on the bike?
2. The motor seems to always be engaged and is rather difficult to pedal both when the bike is in neutral, and when the motor is shut off. Is this common on EMTBs? When the motor's engaged, it rocks.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Serial number is on the bottom of the frame under the BB or crank bearings if you like.
As for being hard to pedal yes. It is an emtb. There is more drag when not assisted by the motor so it will be more difficult to pedal with motor off.

The motor/transmission drag is much more than a Simano EP8 and similar to the ones of a Brose Mag and Bosch CX
