You have to find a shock with the 230 diameter thats the most imported for it to fit. The other value is called stroke and can be changed with tokens so if you only find a stroke with exempel 230x62.5 you remove a token to get 60 stroke for exampel. I'm not very good at explaining, but I hope...

You can buy the hardware direcly from trek or from tftuned, i reccomend that your LBS change the hardware beacuse it its a little bit difficult.

Yes you can if you buy and change the hardware, i did it on my bike from trunnion to normal metric hardware.

Yes it has trunnion hardware as standard, but you can buy other hardware and change. many of the shocks can you buy with trunnion as standard s you dont need to change hardware.

2021/2022 carbon with a dhx2 coil and it work. You can change the stroke by remove or add spacer.

since trek runs with the dimensions 230x62.5 and the dhx2 coil is only sold in the dimension 230x60, you have to remove a spacer so you get a 62.5 stroke. then you also have to change the hardware on the coil from trunnion to metric. if you live in england it is possible to buy dhx2 from...

Fox has this free tool you can use to setup your suspension . It does take some time though

I tried a rail and did not think there was anything wrong with it, as someone mentioned earlier, I would recommend changing the tires as bontrager tires get very nervous at a little speed and especially if it is a bit chunky.
