In other words, it looks like you probably haven't updated your hosts file correctly.
Triple check you've followed all the instructions, particularly those relating to the hosts file. I did write a really simple list, so check my post history to find it.
You've almost certainly done it wrong. I do believe the entry required in the hosts file has changed with newer versions of BESST but this is documented here.
If I'm being really harsh, I'd suggest that people who struggle with bypassing the login should not be using the BESST app. There's...
I had exactly this issue and was able to fix it by doing what @shikhov states above, though in my case I typed in the full SN as I happened to have a screenshot of it. Nice to know that only "CR" also works! Scared the bejesus out of me when it happened though.
Theres no need to calibrate after firmware update.
I've never ridden an M500 or a Bosch motor but my M600 blazes up every hill I've so far thrown at it. Yes, you have to maintain cadence, but that's what gears are for - you'd have changed to a lower gear on an analog bike as you arrived at the...
I've been thinking about the waterproofness this afternoon. I came to the conclusion that it's not worth spending too much time worrying about, so long as we use IP rated switches. Looking at the Giant buttons this appears to be their approach. Initially I thought the contact surfaces were...
@captainhightop any update on your buttons?
My cable has now arrived, though I have to confess that I haven't even taken it out of the bag yet. Tempted to start attempting to design a low profile button/controller thingmy (I'm sure I settled on a word for this, but I've already forgotten it)...
Yes, possibly! However, they've missed the ball on so many occasions where they could actually have got ahead of the competition. The hardware is great, but their software offerings all feel like an afterthought, or a half completed student project.
If either they (or at this stage, we)...
I was primarily talking about the M510, no doubt there's an M610 on the way.
Rapid obsolescence is one of the risks when buying a non-mainstream solution, particularly of Chinese origin and particularly in a field that is undergoing a huge upsurge in both popularity and progress. It's...
I guess for 2 reasons:
1) Fun
2) It feels like the m500/600 series of motors have been superceded now so the odds of a third party undertaking any significant development on this old platform feels low.
It does still feel like there's loads of potential to still be unlocked with these motors...
I don't think that's the point at all. The idea is to build our own display and buttons, with either improvement ergonomics (in the case of the buttons) or improved capabilites, such as the ability to integrate with a garmin watch, in the case of the display. Going from CANBus to UART seems a...
