PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

I bailed out after discovered chainring must be removed, so can't help with the next steps. Will wait until the bearings are cooked and then just replace them. Seems like less hassle this way.

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but Hydro '23 frame has a different axle. It's just a regular bolt with a nut on the non-drive side. This means that the axle is removed towards the drive side, which could not be done without removing the chain ring. All of this makes this part of...

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

So a month went since I disassembled the upper linkage on my Hydro Rise. I have ridden around 150km since, all in either wet conditions, or directly under the rain. The bike was hose cleaned in between rides. After the last wash, I noticed that water-diluted grease is coming out of the top...

Rise Up - What are your upgrades?

H30 2023. Mulleted with DVO Topaz shock and DT M1900 wheel. Fox 36 & 160mm with DT M1900 up front. DHF 2.5 & DHR 2.4 rubber. Hope E4 brakes with 200mm front rotor. The rear rotor is stock as I yet to figure how to match the Hope rotor with magnet properly. Deathgrip grips & Magped pedals from my...

Thinking of getting a H30 today opinions from owners please

The stock tires and brakes are too light-duty even for trail riding, IMO. Otherwise, great bike.

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

Thanks, Rod! Looks like the gap on mine is normal.

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

Thanks, Rod. Really appreciate all the knowledge you're putting on here. Can you please share a photo of how flush (or not) is this left-side nut on your bike? I'm pretty sure the indentation is seated correctly on mine, so I would not be surprised if this small gap I see is how it is supposed...

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

Disconnecting the chainstay and seatstay at the rear axle helped. They are definitely an issue with holes alignment / general geometry in the seatstay. It could be connected at both ends only with some torque applied. Applying this torque is easier at the chainstay / seatstay joint, so it should...

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

What a massive PITA is to thread the seatstay bolt back into the linkage. I know this was mentioned many times before, and I appreciate all the tips. I just need to vent a bit. JFC. I wonder how they do it on the assembly line, though. We need someone to go work there for a month to exfiltrate...

    Got myself a Rise

Santa this year is on fire! A very nice looking bike. Color is better in real life than on the photos. Out of the box, it weighted 21.4 kg. But this is using the floor scale with me holding it in the hands. With this method and with pedals removed, my Stilus weights 25.9. That's with wider...

    Got myself a Rise

I would like to keep Stilus for winter as well. But with everything MTB costing so much, unfortunately it must go to finance the Rise upgrades.

    Got myself a Rise

Found a nice deal on Rise H30 for 4100 EUR (there are still some at Online bike shop | Top brands at cycling store hibike). Size M in Iceberg color. I currently ride Decathlon Stilus V2, upgraded with DVO Topaz and Lyrik. It weights over 25 kg I think, and with me weighting only 70 kg with...
