Good call on the Smashpot. I had a mullet decoy and have run a 180mm Yari, 180mm Lyrik Ultimate, 190mm Boxxer, and a 180mm Lyrik Ultimate with Smashpot and the Smashpot beats everything I’ve tried on that bike.
Mechanically, the motor will mount just fine onto the Decoy frame. YT does not need to retool to fit the motor. However, due to the lower profile shape of the motor, YT can chose to retool the bash guard if they choose to be a lower profile to achieve slightly higher ground clearance otherwise...
Why not buy a size Large knowing all of YT’s bikes have always run a little smaller than other brands to get your 450 reach? I’m a size medium on most brands but ride a large on the Decoy and I’m 5’8”. Longer reach is not the end all on an Ebike because the front end is a lot heavier and it’s...
Removing that dovetail would probably fix the problem and allow a 1-1/5 headset to fit in that pocket which means there’s two of them stacked on each other. It would work and the 1-1/8 to 1-1/5 crown race that is installed on the boxxer’s steerer tube would be able to be installed.
I tried...
Trying to fit a RS Boxxer 29er, 46mm offer fork on the Decoy. Changed the Air spring to 180mm and purchased a 1-1/2 to 1-1/8 headset adapter to be able to run a 1-1/8” Straight steerer tube through the headtube but the stopper thing is blocking everything from working as it should. Any ideas...
I am 73Kg fully kitted. With a 400lb spring, I am at 30-31% sag. With a 450lb spring, I am at 26-27% sag. I prefer the bike at 30% sag since it is what the manufacturer suggest we ride this bike at so cornering/handling and Geo is best at 30%. So with my 400lb spring, I found I have to add a...
Curious, why not just get a Dual Crown? A 180mm Dual crown Boxxer has the same Axle to Crown measurment as a 170mm Lyrik so you can preserve the Geo or slacket it a bit more and get 190mm
I applied clear tape around the battery and after washing the bike, humidity had built up the next day and you can see condensation build inside through the clear tape. Bike would not start and I get the “Shimano Steps” frozen logo. After removing the tape and battery for 24hrs to fully dry...
YT’s Enduro bike’s like the Capra tend to start very high like 3.4 or 3.5:1. I would assume the Decoy could be similar.
Anyways I’m running a DVO coil right now and it looks like you don’t want to go past 170mm out back on a size L frame with the dropper all the way slammed as the tire will...
he’s not changing the 230mm eye to eye, he wants to long stroke it to 70mm instead of of 65 to give it a bit more travel. Not sure where 178mm came from or what the leverage curve of the bike is to make this assumption
I have a DVO 230x65 but the stroke is actually 70mm. The bumper is 15mm thick and will not compress to zero so it’s impossible to use all 70mm of stroke
Or you simply ran one fork with slightly more pressure than the other. Or you pumped them the same but one day was warmer than the other. These factors affects the forks dynamic ride height which in turn affect the almighty “trail” figure that is affecting the turn in you are describing. So a...
I found when I tried to seal the battery with clear tape all around, there was water condensation You can see inside the tape and that screwed up the electronics inside. I removed the clear tape and left the battery outside overnight to dry it out completely and now it works
