How old is the bike? Is it still under warranty?
If the motor is bad and it's under warranty it needs to be replaced by giant.
If it's due to you riding in the smallest gear uphill with maximum power it still should be replaced under warranty and they should advise you to change your habits...

Less than 30 mins into a ride this past Tuesday my bike cut out and would NOT reset after powering off. I attempted to power it off and on at least 15 times, 3-4 times it would clear until I put any pressure on the pedals and then go into r2 fault.
The other times as soon as it powered on it...

Thanks, yes I have considered that it will be be just the slightest amout out of true as I can currently insert the post completely, but after about halfway it requires all my effort and some twisting as well. The same for removing it... but it will go in.

I have been considering that the grease the auto parts stores sell in the little packet for installing automotive light bulbs might be suitable for this application.
Although admittedly it has not caused any actual problem as of yet, I will definitely tell the bike shop to communicate...

You think that is most likely the issue even though I have clarified that the cable slides in the housing without issue and that we have triple checked that the cable is not kinked?
I have triple and quadruple checked housing and cable length, torque of the seat tube clamp, insertion depth clearance, air psi, stanchion lube and cable interference under the battery with the mechanics at the shop. None of which are responsible for this particular issue.
