I just had my first ride yesterday of the season on my gen 3 Levo. Get to be back on it but I couldn't get over how loud the motor sounded. I've spent the last few months on my Ep8 bike, and the motor doesn't even get picked up in my audio, but it's quite loud here.
Someone mentioned that they...
I didn't want a coil because I thought air could be more fun. But after going with a long link on my S3, the X2 made contact with the frame, so I quickly put on an Ohlin's coil, and boy do I love it. The bike is so planted. It doesn't have quite the same pop, but it climbs insanely well now up...
Oh wow, that is a great build—great suspension, brakes, Eagle Transmission. Just a slightly better dropper, and it would be perfect.
I didn't realize the price was US when I visited the site. Initially, I thought Oh, that's a reasonable price for that in Canada since the Alloy is often around...
I've been running MTX Gold pad but just put on Galfer purple earlier in the month and liking them. They feel more predictable than the MTX Gold but both are very good.
Depending on where you are lots of good sales happening at local bike shops and through the manufactures. Saw some Ohlin's coils the other day here in Canada at 40% off at a bike shop.
Kickstands can be dangerous on mountain bikes. I grew up back in the mid-90s when mountain bikes first started to become popular, and I remember having a kickstand on my Giant 880. It was just standard for the bike shop to throw one on.
On one of the first rides, I hit some roots, and the...
Those running the Hope V4s, did you go with the branded lines? And did you just cut the factory cables at the caliper, attach the new cable, and feed it through?
Luckily, this is one of those standard things on bikes. For the most part, you need to know what length you want and what bar clamp width you are running (there are really only two sizes) To my knowledge, all Gen 3 turbos run a 35mm bar clamp.
So you'd be looking for something like this --...
The battery door was updated, but not much other than they refresh the builds each year.
The app received a few updates and was rebuilt (but works on all models/years).
They also changed what models get what computers a few times.
The 500Wh battery is pretty much gone now. I think we'll only...
Depending on what model you have, the TCU might have a separate battery so the TCU can still power on. On the mastermind TCU it gets its power from the battery and will not power on while charging.
Agree the instructions could be clearer but can't help with that. I'm just addressing the...
How would the battery that is disconnected from the bike when charging connect with the bike? The battery would need to Bluetooth or Ant+ to the TCU which just seems like a wasted bit of hardware on the battery.
I went with the Ohlin's coil after my clearance issues and love it -- In some ways, I'm kind of happy I had the clearance issue because I love the coil.
Yeah, I don't disagree with that. They should have enough feedback now to know there is a problem and the specialized tolerance to how the hole is positioned has a higher degree of variation than they initially planned. At least a warning on their site is required I'd think.
It is a specialized problem for sure but Cascade should still acknowledge the issue. It cost me a few hundred dollars since I had to cover a bunch of shipping costs on turning my x2 and I was without a working bike for a few weeks. If I had know it was a risk I should have likely handled it all...
