I put a 200 mm Boxer on my Cannondale moterra, new pick up link that increased rear travel from 160 to 185 and now have a bike that does everything I ask of it. Don't know why more bikes don't come with triple clamps imo and that of many others they are far superior for very little weight gain
Anyone who is asking this question will in all likelihood be more than happy with a Levo, which is indeed a very capable bike. The Kenevo offers that little bit more at the rowdiest end of the scale. Some might say quite a bit more
I was asking about that today and the answer was negative. What he did say was that a few guys are starting to order their Levos with the cascade lt link and either 180 38s or Zebs or even 200mm boxxers. Kind of makes sense with some pretty good deals going down on levos at the moment...
Definately keep the duel crown. Much more bettered. I did not know the 40s had wider stanchions. How is that so if the hub spacing is the same? I believe you but I had not realized this before. I went for boxxers because of the smaller stanchions
Honestly switchbacks are not the issue some peeps make them out to be. Mostly you never even touch the stops but on the rare occasions you do the technique is just to hold the forks fully locked against the frame drop your knee and elbow and push the bars towards the ground. You will find the...
Those saying triple clamp forks can't do switchbacks I doubt have even tried. I have a Moterra with 200 mm boxxers and 185 rear travel. Huge improvement over 180 38s imo. Tracks at pace way better. Sure the 38s are very good for a single crown but you really can't compare them to a full on DH...
I currently have 4 carbon framed mountain bikes all of which I have owned from new. A 2006 trance a 2012 nomad a 2017 Zerode Taniwha and a 2020 cannondale moterra 1 In my experience If built for purpose carbon can take huge impacts without damage. The Trance is built far too lightly for how it...
One unfortunate thing I have observed on this forum is that some people have no problem calling others liars. Very interesting trait that. I can only presume it comes from a general sense of mistrust. Shame
Oh dear. I don't mean to knock but you Spez boys n gals seem to have an extraordinary amount of issues. I mean I would much prefer they were reliable. I mean half my riding group ride spez but it seems like there is always at least one out of action with blown motor or battery or wiring issue...
