4 guys I ride with have mullet setups. 2 with boxxer, 1 zeb, 1 ohlins.
Don't forget the extra 20mm from the wheel/tire+ the 20mm ATC. 40mm total with 1.5-2 deg of HTA.
I'm running the 0 offset crowns to get the front end back and add weight to the front.
29er takes a lot of weight off the...
It could also be flex in the bearing itself. If the bearing keeps working it's way out, I would look at the alignment of the frame and other bearings.
I swapped to NSK bearings and the whole bike is much more solid with less side play in the suspension.
The X2 fits some frames and not others, so it a variance in the frame. If you space the top of the shock over a couple mm, it usually fixes the problem.
You will need to press out all the bearings and that requires a blind puller. it is also not the easies thing to do. then you need to press them in with a press set.
You will also need a torque wrench to put everything back together.
It's more involved they you are most likely prepared for...
Manufactures fug the numbers all the time. Reach has grown 10mm on the geo charts, BB height wanders and the HTA changes depending on the year you look at it, BUT the frame hasn't changed.
Bike puts more weight on the front in the high setting and I like the forks as low as they can go.
My dealings with him have been fine until I posted the weight of a spring that he has the weight of on his site. Then it went very downhill. Not a people person, but a great tuner.
Bikes only grow in front center. The rear stays the same. This creates an imbalance in weight distribution. You loose front end grip the more this gets out of wack.
The solution is to look for bikes with long rear ends like a Kenevo, reduce fork offset, lower your bars or go to a smaller...
Max insertion is limited by the linkage bolts. They have a tab on them. If you need more room you can cut/grind off the tabs and get an extra 100mm. I cut off mine, the only problem would be if your post was long enough to slide all the way to the motor, but it would most likely just damage...
Wide rims for fat bike are not generally designed for the loads a DH style bike takes. Your options are basically nothing.
Wheel weight is one of the most important weight on a bike. I'm running DT swiss aluminum front rim and a Crank brothers DH carbon rear. Neither are light. The DT in...
