Should this guy have stopped pedalling?

I'm starting to see why Gary *ucked off. Stating my background was not a flex, it was to give an idea of the industry I'm involved in, which funnily enough isn't too far from NASA's in areas. Carefully handling electronics does not work, but it helps when combined with other forms of static...

Should this guy have stopped pedalling?

I know it's a little off topic but I'm interested to know where you found out about NASA's conclusions? I've worked in the aerospace (weapons and radar) industry in the UK for 22 years and have seen countless times the damage that can be done. Your e-bike isn't live equipment, there is no...

Why are all Bosch chargers so bulky?

Both chargers look very well designed to me. They are both well packaged, the components are well supported and have proper heatsinking, with appropriate electrical separation & low ESR caps where needed. They're not mill spec by any means but appear to be decent commercial units, they will cost...

Why are all Bosch chargers so bulky?

Not really, the bigger plug allows flexibility for I/o connections where Tesla's one is proprietary. Tesla were ahead of the game and have invested heavily in their own super chargers. It's not apples for apples.

Why are all Bosch chargers so bulky?

Technical reason? A charger is a switch mode power supply, these contain switches (FETs) inductors and capacitors amongst other things, but we'll focus on these for now. The faster a FET can switch from full on to full off the less heat they generate. The lower the on resistance the less heat...

Bosch Error 510 - magnetic interference?

So I've had my 2020 Rail for about 18 months and 1300 off road miles, it's never skipped a beat. Two days ago I was on a ride and in a VERY rural location. No masts/ cables/ loops/ etc within a good mile at least. Stopped to take a picture, put my phone back in camelback, then scrolled through...

Bosch fast charger - any good?

Now I feel bad for giving terrible advice! You are indeed correct, I've just looked at the back of all my chargers. 2A and 4A are 100-240V BUT the 6A one is 230V input only. Apologies for any confusion I've caused.

Bosch fast charger - any good?

like most switch mode power supplies and chargers it's designed to work from 110-240vac. It'll work just fine for you.

Bosch fast charger - any good?

It's very quick and Bosch' estimations are pretty accurate. Remember the last 10% or so is a topping charge and takes ages regardless of what charger you use. Your inverter will be fine as long as it can provide 300W continuous, and your leisure battery is huge ? I use my one for a quick top...
