Well I'm bored of waiting so let's speculate on which manufactures will be using the new motor... are we allowed to do that?
Merida
Canyon
Commencal
Focus??
Any lower end brands?
Yeah but when is it going to be available and which manufacturers will be using it...
If it's been ridden then it can't be that long but why no details on any bike manufacturers websites?
I wonder if they've increased the maximum assistance from 300%? Most other full power motors are 350% and higher...
I'd rather they kept it the same weight and size and, as already mentioned, increase durability and also make it a bit quieter. Improve the app as well, to give battery remaining...
Thanks, I've got six months left on my warranty so I'd rather it did fail sooner rather than later, I will try what you suggest though.
I did think about the pedals so I swapped them but the problem is still there.
Well after fitting a new rear hub I was hoping to be issue free for a while, unfortunately I'm now getting a creak from the left hand crank, near the bottom of the down stroke, I can also feel it through my foot.
I'm thinking it could be the start of the bearings playing up, is there anything...
Agree with that.
I tried two Giant Yamaha bikes but didn't like the over eagerness of the motor, I could imagine it's good on climbs when you need an instant burst of power but it didn't feel natural to me, which the Shimano seems to do a lot better.
Tried the new settings for the first time today.
Initially had eco in low but it wasn't quite enough for me so changed it to medium, even though my fitness is improving I managed to get 45.8 miles before the bike only let me have eco, pretty good on the internal Focus battery I think.
Just updated to latest firmware, it now allows eco to be adjusted and also the display speed up and down...
Haven't ridden bike with new settings yet though.
That's good to know, although it should be adjustable with the E-tube app, it's a mountain bike not a road bike. How many people have lights running off the internal battery?
I was just watching a video on embn about motors and I noticed a different shimano app on there so had a look, maybe it doesn't work with the E8000 then.
Thanks
