Just fitted a new chain and unless I'm missing something, the chainring is symmetrical, ie it doesn't matter for the placement of the chain as on a narrow/wide chainring?

Just rode the Col d'Izoard from Briançon this morning, Eco mode and used 2 bars for 1200m vertical and 19km.......

I'm Eco-100, Trail-200, Boost-300, everything goes straight up here in the Alps!

It's certainly (or was) the case with Bosch, I changed the cassette on LynnX's 2015 Bosch bike and it started randomly going in to limp mode, turned out one of the new ratios matched 1:1 crank/rear wheel speed and there's software in the motor to stop people kidding the computer by putting the...

Put it to the test today on my favourite climb, trail at 300%, same ultimate power as boost, but far less snatchy on light inputs and a much more useful all-round mode than boost (y)

Thanks R120, thought that might be the case! I'll load up the settings and give it a go next time I'm out. Yes, boost gives you the full monty, but it's so binary in the way it comes in, all or nothing!

Haven't tried it yet, but if I set trail mode to 300%, will it work the same as the Bosch emtb mode? In boost, it seems to deliver all the power immediately which as opposed to trail where the harder you pedal, the more power it delivers which is like the Bosch and feels more natural..... Or...

Drove myself a little crazy trying to connect Steps Unlocker to my bike until I remembered I had my iPhone in my pocket as well as the android phone I've got the app on and the 2 bluetooth connections were interfering!

Just changed my Decoy to US region with the latest app upgrade without having to downgrade the firmware, sweet! 32kmh on the flat, much more reasonable, no plans to take it further, don't need to stress the motor........
