escooters are now forbidden in public transport (however not e-bikes :) )
Shimano allows you adjust everything I think. the same Specialized (that's why I have it).
with 700Wh (I wouldn't get bigger - too heavy weight at the front of the bike) I can do up to 3000m (If i try very hard)
most of Bosch systems cannot be adjusted ...
also you have much bigger batt.
On Strive:ON for example, it's easy to do ~2000m - bigger batt and you can adjust some settings a bit.
that's the problem with Bosch, tour and emtb will give you (almost?) full power when you put at least 250W from yourself (which I consider normal for trained amateur weighting >75kg), and then I doubt you can do 1800 (closer to 1500m)
.... WTF you are talking about?
do you want an ebike or pedalec/moto?
you have ebikes putting 600W and you want 5x more.... how do you want it to be class1 ebike/bike ? (ah...sorry
so you don't want an ebike anymore, and you want to use it on your private land then....)
it's difficult to...
yes it is, but that was the OP request, to have an e-bike (pedelec, moto etc.) that goes to 35mph.
I agree that 25km/h limit is stupid, I can do more on my ebike on a flat (without an assistance), I do more when I ride down, I can ride >40km/h on my road bike....
500Wh should work well :)
only 'bad' thing that battery is the same length and have the same weight distribution as 700.
(so the same amount of cells, just lower capacity i guess)
1. I count mine rides in elevation (1000-2000m for 500Wh, 1500-2500m for 700Wh)
2. 500Wh and 700Wh
3. most of the time, yes, I set my modes according to available time or trails I want to do.
4. depends on a day, if I want to rest, I let the motor do more job (and I keep my HR ~60-65%HRMax), on...
it's not about garmin, but just about Ant+ / BLE protocol.
which is supported by most/all sports devices, and for example by Specialized system as well.
I'm curious about that, my mate wants to buy ebike with new bosch (strive:on probably), I'd like to hear how customisation works.
I change my settings almost every ride (mostly trail mode), it depends how much time I have and how much I want to ride that day.
i guess you didn't get it. I wanted slower mode than tour+,emtb, turbo, to ride more ....
however, if you think that changing 'factory parameters' is bad ... :ROFLMAO:
just remember that these parameters were set by some boffins that didn't see MTB from a mile ... this is what I think about...
that's true - "right to repair", but I read somewhere that Shimano for example, wants exceptions from that.

Not exactly, Tour (i think i didn't have tour+) and EMTB give up to full power.
If you produce >~250W, all 3 modes (tour, emtb, turbo) give the same power (max) and use your battery the same way. that was my main concern about Bosch, I couldn't set/ride mode between Eco (which is weak) and Tour...
