Going Commando .. (Body armour Question)

Some form of what the surfers call a rash guard is probably right down your alley for this... But then again that's what Mountainbikers call compression tops it seems and you tried it already so... I normally use a something like a skinz top under mine unless its up around 30 C or more, then...

Praxxis eRING STEEL MTN 1X 104BCD - 36T - Where to buy in Europe ??

I signed up for notification of when they were in stock and honestly forgot all about it until I was, well, notified...... Ordered it immediately since it said only 2-3 in stock at that time back in early Nov or late October. Got it not long after.

Praxxis eRING STEEL MTN 1X 104BCD - 36T - Where to buy in Europe ??

I bought mine through Upgrade/DMR too. Ordered just one no problem and got it shipped here to Norway. Though shipping was not cheap but it was super quick...

Frames for sale? Should brands offer it?

I'm not sure about the availability and when it became available where to be honest. I was planning on buying a '19 Expert carbon on sale back in September and replace a lot of the parts , when I came across a German vid on youtube with a dealer having been to specialized looking at the 2020...

Frames for sale? Should brands offer it?

Oh, and I assume they make more on complete bikes as they probably charge a markup on all components Vs. their production / bulk acquisition cost as well, in addition to the liability and warranty issues that might come from improper customer use/build etc. as Al mentioned.

Frames for sale? Should brands offer it?

I'm a little biased here I guess, seeing as I have the Levo frame on order. In my opinion anyone with a specific taste in the parts they like to use and who would swap stuff on a new bike anyway, is sure to appreciate a frame kit only. Or for the seasoned bargain hunter or the bike parts...

    Winter/snow riding

I'll add that when I say deep snow, I'm not talking deep powder though, rather maybe like 5-6-10 cm or something. RickBullotta is right in his statement on really deep stuff and wider tires there for sure. When I commuted on my spikers last season some of it was on bare tarmac as well, which...

    Winter/snow riding

I have been riding the Schwalbe Ice spikers 27.5 2.60 all last winter on my clockwork bike. quite happy with them and grip on ICE is INSANE! Super slow rolling though.... If you have a lot of deeper snow and ICE I would not be worried about the 29. 2.25 dimension as that would rather break...

    Lyric Ultimate opinion and suggestions?

I'm looking at a 160 Lyrik Ultimate for my S-works build. Been debating back and forth around 42 or 51 offset, but seeing the 160 will slacken head angle a bit and also is longer, I have decided on the 42 Offset. Would probably go for the 51 if I kept with 150... Slippery Pete is absolute...

Recommend me a Shimano E8000 mtb around £4000

I think the only two downsides with the e-sommet really would be if you run into any issues after purchasing, as the aftermarket service has a reputation for being not too good from Wiggle / CRC apparently (Not tried myself) and that they keep getting sold out without much info on restocking...

    Tyre Pressure Conundrum

Yeah, tire construction and thread counts for a lot. I would not say it's anything un normal the experience you are describing Zim. And if you are lucky enough to like'em best at as hiogh as 27ish psi the better in terms of protection of rim dings etc (y) Ride what feels best for you mate, as...

    Weight help please

I would say if you go for a bike that hasn't got much changes for 2020 , then go 2019 (i.e Levo or similar) Otherwise, if there are significant changes on the model you want for 2020, I would lean towards the new one, Then there is the motor stuff, if you want a bosch bike, I would go 2020 due...

Article Haibike FLYON ALLMTN 8.0 Review

Great review Rob! Was really waiting for this one, as the only other bike that really tickled my fancy Vs. the levo was the Flyons... Heavy rider = wanting the most Torqu / quickest climbs...And the ALLMTN would be the closest Flyon comparable to the Levo... Anyhow, the question is what one...

    Weight help please

You should be fine with a lot of them honestly, I was about your weight a while back and still rode my Scott Spark analog carbon bike quite hard without problems (trails and some bike park stuff, w/ crashes.) Mostly it seems the weight limit is the function of the wheels on the bike more than...
