thanks for that I didn't see that thread to be fair - trouble is I need to have the bikes off the ground rather than the vertical solution with back/weight resting on the floor; the floor is taken up with other stuff also. Might have to think of other solutions

would there be any issue wearing a Gore-Tex trail shoe? I was wearing my Scarpa gore tex lined walking boots and they do a low ankle version - bone dry even when submersed and comfy
