It does concern me and if it proves to be correct it would make me think twice about upgrading to the ep8. Vehicle manufacturers are obliged to carry on producing spares for a certain amount time after a model is discontinued. Polaris who produce motorcycles and various other leisure vehicles...
I think its gets much more complicated with ebikes. My Merida is over 3 years years old now so well out of warranty. I paid £4300, no real upgrades just bits replaced as they are needed but all in good order so if we say its worth 30% of the purchase price thats what £1290. That seems reasonable...
With lots of warranty work the parts are supplied by the bike company but the shop is expected to provide the labour at no cost. Even the jobs that are worthy of a labour charge the rate is reduced and the time allowed the barest minimum. If the shop has sold you the bike and made some profit on...
Merida E160 800-
Merida Expresso 300- wanted something for the road
Giant Dirtee +1- ex demo and LBS with low miles and a cheap proce
Kenevo Expert- sat in the LBS window for 18 months, made a silly offer they said yes
@R120 Yes thats correct and is useful as an amputee esp on hill starts. I generally start with the prosthetic clipped in which is obviously me weaker side so a slightly earlier power pick up does make a slight difference. The Kenevo(Specialized) has loads of adjustment via the apps as well
The 29vs27.5 debate is long and has many good points on both sides. From the use you are suggesting ie bit of road work, forest tracks and not loads of really rough stuff I reckon a 29er is the better option
I'm also a below knee amp and a big fella as well so I'll add a few points from my POV I have 2 full suss, a hardtail and a hybrid all ebikes
Like you I struggle to stand up and pedal and have lop sided leg power.
Fullsuss/hardtail understandably you're looking at it from a non powered...
I guess we'll find out soon enough but we like a bit of idle speculation. Lets face it they could of made it a straight swap but they chose not to. They don't want us upgrading our old ebikes they want us buying brand new ones
I heard the report on Radio 4 and was quite impressed that they referred to his bike as a "motorised bicycle" and where very clear it wasnt a legal ebike
If I'm taking two batteries on "proper" trails I use a back pack but forest tracks and lighter stuff I use a bike touring seat post roll bag. Quite secure and limits the dropper a wee bit. Knowing some of the stuff you ride it may not be suitable but might work if you where then stashing it...
My Kenevo has been stood for a while(waiting for bigger spring) and the tyre was flat, pumped it up but air coming out of the valve as quick as I'm pumping it in. Any quick fixes before I remove/refit/replace
I just picked up a brand new Kenevo expert for 4k. Rumours of a new model coming soon means big discounts are out there
Its a hell of bike for 5500 but an absolute stonker for 4k
I believe there is a new Kenevo coming out towards the end of the year and I've just bought a current model expert for quite a bit less the I paid for my merida 160 800. I've not ridden the Kenevo yet although I did test the Levo with the same motor. I wouldnt say(from a short test ride) that...
