That's really sad to hear. Especially with all that evidence.
Speaking first hand, I know how much less of a priority tracing stolen mountain bikes are for the Police.
There's so few us these days and we're absolutely stretched the max in terms of resources, priorities unfortunately lie...
Thanks Rob. They've already been in touch. A year and a half later, he recognised my bike in his local police station and got in touch with me.
I was reunited with my bike the following day!
What a community 👍🏻 👌🏻
Thanks! You'll want to aim for an area known as Glassie bike park/the bunkhouse. Check it on YouTube at some point. A lot of work being done up that hill 👍🏻
Wow, what an adventure haha! Thanks for the positive post, just goes to show that we should not give up all hope!
I'll keep checking all the usual places meantime! Hopefully the bike doesn't show up in Poland but you just never know!!!
I've been trawling the Internet for the bike/parts of the bike. My friends Santa Cruz turned up on Facebook 6 months later so you just never know! Thanks mate.
Quite possibly but I work in quite a rural area and unfortunately the majority of stolen bikes disappear into the big smoke never to be seen again.
It's something I'm going to look into and spread some awareness amongst my colleagues as this is now becoming a major issue that needs attention...
Thanks for the kind words. I fully believe its been targeted by a professional group as everything was done so swiftly and quick.
I'll get it added to the reg asap.
Yeah I'll defo need to up the security. Initially I thought the electric fob system had been overwritten but now I'm of the opinion the lock was simply picked. Thanks for the reply!
It's with a heavy heart that I write this post but finally my time has come to include myself in the ever increasing pool of bike theft victims.
It wasn't an ebike but my £9k Santa Cruz Bronson. I'm hoping I'm allowed to still post this for folks awareness.
