The Voima was fantastic bike for me, up until it broke. The way the situation was dealt with really showed me that they had tried to get too big too fast and wouldn’t be able to provide adequate support. It was like a peek behind the curtain into the house of cards.
Honestly the Pole rides so dang good!! I was on a decoy and a gen3 Levo before the Pole, and this thing somehow is just as fun and poppy as the decoy but with 190/190 and a Bosch 750 system. I’m the dude that broke his and still would buy again in a heartbeat.
Specialized has to have a great warranty, you are going to have motor failures. My 70 year old dad has had at least 2 fail. My group of 8 riders has gone through, not joking, 20+ motors. 8 of those are on 2022 gen3 Levos.
As a bigger dude that had a Gen 3 levo. I went through 2 motors and decided to sell the bike. Riding group had 7 new motors in 8 months all on the Gen 3.
I think shimano and Bosch are your best options for motors. Avoid Brose they seem to fail more with big guys riding hard. I’ve heard alloy frames act as a heat sync helping cool the motor, where carbon act as an insulator. Who knows 🤷♂️
Not that you can’t, just that they are designed for different attributes. Front tends to be grippier and better cornering, rear better braking. I enjoy running double Assegai 🤷♂️
Ran into these guys on the trail last year, they did most of their testing nearby. Bike looked super sweet! Would love to get info on it, but website seems hacked together and phone number Gus nowhere 🤷♂️
Strava is a great way to find trails and try to push yourself to go faster than you did yesterday. Those in the top 10 may have had their best day and best conditions, or truly pros! Have fun with it and don’t kill yourself for fake internet points 🤙
